On Facebook one in our Dutch genealogy group gave me your link. I have researched my husband’s lineage: Roelof Grotenhuis 1750, wife Hendrickje 1750, Ommen Netherlands. Their son Jannes Grootenhuis 1777-1843 married Anna Berends Six 1785-1839. It appears that Rolelof GrootenhuisII and my husband’s 2x great grandfather named Jan Willem Grootenhuis were brothers. Jan Willem 1815-1860 married Hendrikje Johanna Streur 1810- in Allegan County, Michigan USA. you and my husband Phillip are distantly related. Do you know any information on where Roelof and Hendrickje Grootenhuis 1750 were from before this? Do you believe the rumors they might have been Calvinist Huguenots? I cannot find any onformation before 1750. Thank you for any thoughts about before 1750. Karin Grotenhuis from Zeeland Michigan USA
